Agriculture that is socially and ecologically responsible. That is the future. In our village there are small farms, some with very old walls and long traditions. Many farmers have a second job to support their families, yet they still keep the passion and dedication for their farms, where animal husbandry is truly lived.
Every cow, sheep and goat has its own name. And I am happy to receive fresh quark, yoghurt, eggs and exceptionally healthy meat. A small village with strong cooperation. It took time for this way of thinking to grow in everyone’s mind, but it has strengthened our community and given us another good reason to say that even in a very remote mountain village it is worth it.

Organic farm by Roland Dorigoni
From a long-standing love for plants and nature, a new project dedicated to organic agriculture was created. Talhof, one of the oldest farms in Buchholz, lies at about 800 metres above sea level on the road to Gfrill, surrounded by the forests of the Trudner Horn Nature Park and offering a breathtaking view over the valley towards the Salurn Gorge. Our aim is to produce organic, high-quality vegetables.
Azienda Agricola Foradori
We are free farmers, united in our respect for the earth and its abundance.
We work with passion to grow plants that preserve their natural character.
We transform the fruits of our land for the wellbeing of those who enjoy them.
Our ultimate goal is to create harmony between people and nature.
Meraner Mühle
Our roots are our driving force. We preserve and cultivate them because they represent the history of our family. For more than 600 years the von Berg family has been devoted to the tradition of milling. For us it remains one of the most important values and tells the story of our deep connection to the world of flour, baking and, of course, South Tyrol.
Ansitz Dornach
We do not just practise organic farming, we live it. Our family largely feeds itself with the organic products we produce ourselves. Potatoes, polenta and many other vegetables grow in our fields. Herbs and salads thrive in the herb garden and also in the vineyard.
Farmers’ Market Gfrill/Cauria
At the farmers’ market in Gfrill near Salurn there are musical stories for both young and old. A storyteller will be part of the programme, complemented by a workshop about the fascinating world of bees. Of course, there will also be delicious local products.
Biohof Crozzol
The Crozzol organic farm is located in Buchholz (Salurn) in a beautiful panoramic position at 580 metres above sea level, above Laag. With great dedication and respect for nature we cultivate the farm according to biodynamic principles. Besides two horses and wool pigs, dogs, cats and chickens also live with us on the farm. We bake nourishing bread from our own grain and grow vegetables in our own fields, providing ourselves as much as possible with our own healthy produce. (360° photos)
