The Fichtenhof in Gfrill near Salurn is the ideal starting point for many leisure activities. You can hike, cycle, or simply enjoy the fresh mountain air right from the doorstep.

Located in the heart of the Trudner Horn Nature Park, nature lovers will find excellent conditions. Covering 6,660 hectares, the area includes larch meadows, moorlands with rare plants, forests, ponds, clearings, and rock formations, stretching from the Adige Valley floor (224 m) up to the Weißhorn (2,317 m). The park has been protected since 1981. Nearby, you will also find the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bletterbach Gorge.

Various forest roads and hiking trails invite you to discover new destinations every day, from Hornalm to Heiligen See, Königswiese, and Sauchsattel. The Dürer Trail to Segonzano is particularly well known.

Nature Park Visitor Centre and Information Points

In addition to the visitor centre in Truden, an information point of the Trudner Horn Nature Park was opened in Gfrill in 2014. Located next to the parking area, it provides information about the history of Gfrill, water-related topics, and hiking suggestions in the southern part of the park, with a focus on wetlands, wildlife, and plant species.
