Via ferrata
Via ferrata climbing is becoming increasingly popular in the Alps as a leisure activity. One reason is that via ferrata routes, much like normal hiking trails, can often be undertaken independently by experienced mountain enthusiasts. Unlike alpine climbing, the technical difficulty is usually moderate.
The Fichtenhof is an ideal starting point for reaching some of the most well-known via ferrata routes within about an hour, particularly those around Arco and Riva. All routes are well signposted and properly equipped to ensure safety while allowing climbers to enjoy magnificent panoramic views from the summits.
Very close by, within about 1.5 hours, you can reach the “Rio Secco” below Salurn as well as the well-known Burrone Giovanelli in Mezzocorona. Both are excellent routes and well worth climbing.

Climbing garden – Klippe Garbe

The cliff is located in the southernmost part of South Tyrol, between the villages of Teich and Salurn. On the main road between the two villages there is a junction with a small chapel where you can reach Baita Garbe and park your car. From the parking area a forest road begins, and the climbing wall can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes.
